About The Position

The College, Youth & Family Programs intern participates in and supports the Morgan’s programs for families, teens, and university students on select Saturdays as well as select Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The candidate should demonstrate a keen interest in the field of museum education and in the visual arts. The College, Youth & Family Programs intern should have familiarity with art materials and art-making techniques. Attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. The intern will assist in the facilitation of college, youth, and family programs and will provide administrative support, including data collection, outreach, research, and organization of program supplies. Regular weekday afternoons and select evening and weekend hours are required.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student
  • Strong interest in a career in the museum or research library fields
  • Eligibility to work in the United States; international candidates must be eligible to participate in a paid internship program in the United States
  • Familiarity with art materials and art-making techniques
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
