About The Position

The Office of Global Programs leads and collaborates with units across CSN to advance institution-wide internationalization that enriches and supports the educational and professional experiences of students, faculty and staff. This position is for Fall 2026 and is located at Charleston West. The hourly rate of pay is $14.00, and the student will work up to 20 hours per week. The services provided by this department benefit CSN students, staff, and the community outside of CSN. Work experience in this department supports any Degree/Certificate Programs.

Requirements

  • Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and Accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply.
  • Must upload a Resume or Curriculum Vitae (CV).
  • Must upload proof of having received the Student Employment Award (a copy of the latest CSN Award Notification showing the Student Employment Award, or a screenshot of the accepted award from the “View/Accept Financial Aid” screen in MyCSN).
  • Must have a financial aid eligible major (degree or certificate program) declared with the CSN Office of the Registrar.
  • Must meet Financial Aid Satisfactory Progress after each semester/term to qualify for employment within the academic year.
  • Must show degree compliant enrollment for each semester/term for which funding is desired.
  • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credits and meet additional eligibility requirements of the Silver State Regents Service Program for summer semester/term employment.
  • Cannot work another part-time position within NSHE at the same time they are employed as a CSN College Work Study student.

Responsibilities

  • Peer Advising and conducting outreach
  • Carrying out research projects related to international opportunities and best practices
  • Assisting with event planning and coordination
  • Contacting departments regarding international initiatives
  • Answering general inquiries submitted via phone, email, or in person walk-ins
  • Generating content for social media
