About The Position

The College of Southern Nevada (CSN) is seeking a College Work Study Student for the Campus Life department for the Fall 2026 semester. This role is responsible for strengthening the college experience with activities and programs outside of the classroom, providing opportunities to educate, advocate, entertain, and challenge students. The department offers services that benefit CSN Students, staff, and the community. This position supports the AGS Degree and Computer Office Technology Certificate of Achievement programs.

Requirements

Only students who have completed this year’s FAFSA and Accepted the Student Employment Award in their Financial Aid Package are eligible to apply.
Must be friendly, outgoing, and willing to market programs and activities to students, faculty, and staff.
Must be punctual, courteous and productive.
General knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Photoshop.
Phone etiquette.
Ability to organize and file paperwork in alphabetical and chronological order.
Possess basic computer skills.

Proof of Student Employment Award (copy of latest CSN Award Notification or screenshot of accepted award from MyCSN).

Responsibilities

Answer incoming calls, record all messages, and direct all inquiries to the appropriate person/office.
Make copies.
Provide food for those in need, as well as school supplies and clothing to support individuals and families.
Stock food items and create detailed lists of required supplies.
Assist with event planning, including decoration setup and take-down.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the office to ensure a productive and efficient workspace.
Market programs and activities to students, faculty, and staff.
