About The Position

This position is for a College Work-Study Student Activities Aide on the South Campus. The role involves assisting the Student Activities Assistant with planning and implementing campus and diversity programs, acting as a liaison for student clubs and organizations, planning community service projects, and organizing recreational games. This hiring is for the Fall 2026 Semester. Applicants must be current Macomb Community College students taking at least 6 credit hours and have a work-study award from Financial Aid.

Requirements

A current student at Macomb Community College taking AT LEAST 6 credit hours.
Currently have a work-study award given by Financial Aid.
High school graduate or GED equivalent.
Some experience in planning and organizing programs and events.

Nice To Haves

Experience with high school or work related organizations and community service programs preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and organize tournaments
Decorate for planned events
Post new fliers on campus bulletin boards
Assist in planning programs and projects involving the campus and community
Complete event and program evaluations
Inventory and maintain graphic supplies and storeroom
Promote and assist student clubs and organizations
Maintain and update resource files
Assist student groups with paperwork, forms and requests
Keep records of student club programs and events
Assist with Induction and Pinning ceremonies
Take and maintain photographs of all events
Maintain and secure radios
Provide information for the student newsletter
Maintain display case and bulletin boards, changing as needed
Assist with passive programming and volunteer events
Provide customer service to students
Assist with event needs, including setting up rooms, furniture and audio visual equipment as assigned
Provide recommendations on building and equipment repair
Perform other duties as assigned
