Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of two years of experience with onsite campus recruiting, university relations, and internship or early-career programs
  • Strong understanding of recruiting, selection, and onboarding considerations associated with internship, co-op, and early-career candidates
  • Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Identify, implement, and manage recruiting strategies on college campuses consistent with Nucor's talent brand to support Nucor’s vision and strategic recruiting and hiring objectives
  • Organize all major recruiting events on college campuses, including coordination of division teammate involvement, event logistics and communication, and evaluation of recruiting outcomes through candidate engagement and event performance reporting
  • Develop and maintain active collegiate talent pipelines through proactive candidate engagement, effective applicant management, and consistent communication throughout the recruitment process
  • Maintain relationships on college campuses with key stakeholders, including, but not limited to, student organizations and university faculty and staff
  • Track and report recruiting metrics to measure success and return on investment of recruiting initiatives, delivering KPI updates and providing information for ad hoc reporting requests as needed
  • Collaborate with talent supervisor and divisional teams to assist with internship and full-time hiring, data collection, evaluations, and offer letters
