This is a part-time position (maximum of 20 hours per week) for Student Outreach Assistants within the College of Forestry at Oregon State University (OSU). College of Forestry Ambassadors act as student representatives for the College, engaging in events and programs that support recruitment, marketing, student services, and alumni, donor, and industry relations. Responsibilities include assisting with on- and off-campus functions, participating in professional conferences, attending alumni and industry events, and delivering forestry presentations and campus tours. Ambassadors also serve as liaisons for current students, offering support, fostering student engagement, and communicating student needs. These positions offer valuable work experience and professional development opportunities, enhancing communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Ambassadors gain recognition as respected student leaders and network with influential university administrators, faculty, industry leaders, and political figures. Incumbents contribute to the mission of OSU/COF and increase their knowledge of the university, the College of Forestry, and the forestry, natural resources, outdoor recreation, and renewable materials industries.
