About The Position

OHFA offers affordable housing opportunities for Ohioans from rental assistance to homeownership. OHFA provides access to financial resources for the development and management of affordable housing. The Agency's programs serve first-time homebuyers, renters, senior citizens and other populations with special needs who otherwise might not be able to afford quality housing. The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) provides access to affordable and safe housing opportunities for Ohioans. Our interns support this mission by contributing to projects that strengthen program delivery, enhance internal operations, and support the Agency’s strategic initiatives. OHFA is seeking College Interns in the following degree fields: Office of Information Technology (1 position): Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field Human Resources Office (1 position): Human Resources, Public Administration, or Business Administration Legal Office (1 position): Law or related undergraduate field with intent to pursue law degree Office of Public Affairs (1 position): Political Science, Public Affairs, Marketing, or Communications Office of Finance (2 positions): Finance, Accounting, or related field A copy of a current transcript should be submitted along with the application.

  • Technical and Professional Skills Necessary for Success: Internship, Accounting and Finance, Public Relations, Information Technology, Law, Active Learning, Confidentiality, Listening, Emotional Intelligence

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with data collection, research, and preparation of reports or presentations.
  • Support process improvement initiatives by gathering information and identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency.
  • Maintain and update files, records, logs, and internal documentation.
  • Prepare draft correspondence, summaries, briefing materials, and other written materials as assigned.
  • Participate in internal meetings, take notes, and help track follow-up tasks.
  • Provide general administrative support, including scheduling assistance, document preparation, and responding to routine inquiries.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete assignments and contribute to agency goals.
  • Follow all OHFA policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and ethical guidelines.
