About The Position

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting software delivery initiatives within a collaborative business and technology environment. The intern will primarily focus on Business Analysis activities while also gaining exposure to Quality Analysis and software testing practices throughout the software development lifecycle. This role is designed to provide practical experience in requirements analysis, process documentation, stakeholder collaboration, testing support, and solution delivery. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 15 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum. The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, organized, and interested in learning how business needs are translated into technology solutions.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • Collaborative and professional in team interactions
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills.
  • Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with gathering, documenting, and organizing business and functional requirements
  • Support the creation and maintenance of user stories, process flows, and business documentation
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings, workshops, and requirements discussions
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with documenting current and future state workflows
  • Support backlog refinement and requirements traceability activities
  • Collaborate with team members to clarify business needs and solution expectations
  • Help maintain project and requirements documentation repositories
  • Assist with creating and executing test cases and test scenarios
  • Support validation of system functionality against documented requirements
  • Participate in defect tracking and resolution activities
  • Assist with regression and user acceptance testing activities
  • Help document testing results and quality metrics
  • Gain exposure to test automation and quality assurance processes as applicable
