About The Position

Envoy Air is seeking a college intern to support its Technical Publications department. The paid 11-week summer internship offers real-world experience, professional networking, and exposure to the commercial aviation business. The intern will learn about and assist with editorial tasks involved in the creation, revision, review, and publication of company technical materials. The role calls for high-quality work across multiple responsibilities, along with confidentiality and professionalism. Pay is $22 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Technical Communications, English, or Aviation Maintenance/Technology.
Be a rising junior, senior, or graduate student at the start of the internship.
Have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.75.
Have previous proofreading and editing experience.
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
Possess the right to work in the United States.
Be customer-oriented, positive and optimistic, and have a strong work ethic.
Be able to complete work assignments effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Learn about company manual creation and revision processes.
Assist editors with proofreading and editing company manuals in development or being updated.
Help review and edit publications to ensure they conform to established formats.
Compare source documents with approved current manuals for accuracy.
Assist with revisions to company user guides.
Learn about and assist with company manual printing, distribution, and publication processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
