About The Position

The Summer College Internship Program is a 10-week paid internship experience that provides undergraduate and graduate students with the opportunity to attend development workshops, network, and be part of our company. Our college interns work on meaningful projects, are mentored under their respective managers, and continue to develop throughout the entire summer. Through the internship program, our interns can attend development workshops that are focused on key business concepts. Interns may work within the skills-based tracks of Business Administration, Information Technology, Actuarial, Human Resources, Analytics & Data, Communications, Finance, Marketing & Sales, Project Management, Clinical Studies, Customer Experience, Digital Operations, and other non-technical and/or technical based degree programs. This is a paid 10-week summer internship from the first Monday in June to the second Friday in August (up to 40 hours per week). Interns may reside in either a technical or non-technical area. Development workshops are provided to help the transition from school to the corporate environment. Housing is not provided as part of our program.

Requirements

  • High School diploma along with proof of continuous college enrollment (enrolled in a full-time undergraduate or graduate degree program).
  • Must be in good academic standing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with technical and non-technical audiences and interface with staff at all levels of the company.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peers.
  • Demonstrates strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and prioritization skills.
  • Proactive approach to work, displaying creativity and flexibility in completing assigned tasks.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement of skills and team functioning.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as on intra- and inter- departmental teams as needed.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using a desktop computer in a professional environment.

  • Desired Majors/Degree Programs Include: Information Systems, Information Science, or Business, Cybersecurity, Legal or Pre-law, Data Management or Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) Business & Management (i.e. Finance, Actuarial, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, etc.) ;Computing Sciences & Information Technology (i.e. Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT Networking, Cybersecurity, etc.) ;Mathematics & Data Science (i.e. Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, etc.) or similar program(s)
  • Preferred (but not required) experience with: Microsoft 365, SharePoint, project work, documentation, training development, process improvement, and student leadership activities is desirable.
  • Candidates should have an interest in information governance, records management, data lifecycle management, compliance, and emerging areas such as AI governance and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the operationalization of retention policies across SharePoint sites.
  • Supporting Information Enterprise Repository (IER) content ingestion activities.
  • Participating in RIM program governance and oversight processes.
  • Supporting operational reviews.
  • Developing training and awareness materials.
  • Assisting with file migration efforts.
  • Creating team communications.
  • Documenting procedures.
  • Helping track program metrics and compliance activities.
  • Gaining exposure to records management, information governance, Microsoft 365, data lifecycle management, and organizational change management practices.
  • Working with a mentor and supporting key strategic projects.
  • Completing work assignments based on business needs, departmental priorities, and individual qualifications.
  • Performing a mix of technical and/or non-technical tasks that will cover a broad range of business-related projects.
  • Creating and delivering presentations at completion of internship.

  • Maintaining confidentiality and protection of member privacy in accordance with the company policies.
