About The Position

This internship provides hands-on experience supporting our Learning Management System ("LMS") software and learning environment, and the Learning Solutions Team as a whole. This intern role will primarily focus on being the first responder to LMS service ticket requests. They will be collaborating with our LMS Administrators and Instructional Designers as well as working directly with SRP employees across the business to assist in troubleshooting issues. This role is designed to provide practical experience in process documentation, stakeholder collaboration, testing support, and solution delivery. The student intern will work daily scheduled hours based on the department’s needs, with a minimum requirement of 32 hours and up to 40 hours per week maximum.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Education, or a related field
  • Curious and eager to learn
  • Self-motivated and dependable
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable asking questions and seeking clarification
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities
  • Collaborative and professional in team interactions

Nice To Haves

  • College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills.
  • Knowledge such as accounting, general administrative principles, communications, marketing, personnel, finance, training, business and other non-scientific fields.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to requests for assistance with computer-based training needs as well as coordination of adding instructor-led courses to our LMS
  • Assist with gathering, documenting, and organizing business and functional requirements
  • Support the creation and maintenance of process flows and business documentation
  • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with documenting current and future state workflows
  • Collaborate with team members to clarify business needs and solution expectations
  • Help maintain project and requirements documentation repositories
