About The Position

The Air Quality Services' Intern provides entry-level support to environmental professionals assisting with air quality permitting, regulatory compliance, and emissions reporting projects. This position offers an opportunity to learn about environmental regulations, industrial operations, and air quality management while gaining practical experience. The intern will work under close supervision and receive training in air quality permitting processes, emissions data management, and environmental compliance activities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • Participants to work a minimum of 15 hours per week and up to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
  • Scheduled hours may vary based on departmental needs and hiring manager’s discretion, provided hours worked remain within the 15–40 hour weekly range.
  • College level coursework (100 or higher) from an accredited institution is preferred.
  • Management will evaluate college-level coursework individually to determine if it is applicable to the position and relevant to the required skills.
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Currently, SRP does not sponsor H1B visas, OPT, or other employment-related visas.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with collecting and organizing facility operational and emissions data.
  • Support project teams with data entry, document management, and recordkeeping.
  • Help prepare spreadsheets, tables, and summaries for permitting and compliance projects.
  • Conduct basic research on environmental regulations and agency requirements.
  • Assist with organizing information needed for permit applications and regulatory reports.
  • Maintain project files and compliance tracking records.
  • Attend project meetings and training sessions.
  • Provide general administrative and technical support to the Air Quality Services team.
  • Assist with special projects within Environmental Services as assigned.
