About The Position
La Salle Academy, an all-male college preparatory high school located in the East Village neighborhood of New York City, seeks an experienced college counselor. La Salle Academy is a small school with a 177-year history that enrolls a culturally diverse student population and is a member of the international network of Lasallian Schools.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or higher.
- 3-5 years of college counseling experience desired.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity/expertise with Naviance, The Common Application, and the CUNY application preferred.
- FACTS SIS knowledge a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Guide 11th and 12th grade students through the college application process.
- Critique college essays.
- Process college applications.
- Offer academic and personal counseling to the students.
- Communicate with parents, students, faculty, and administration regularly.
- Advertise and monitor college representative visits.
- Keep detailed accurate records.
