About The Position

Support the implementation and delivery of college and career readiness services to 9-12th grade students and parents, with the goal of increasing student readiness for and success in college, military, or career after graduation.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience with college access/higher ed student affairs, counseling, events management, teaching, or training
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Conduct individual advising appointments with secondary students and caregivers to ensure individual readiness.
  • Present in classrooms across campus on various future ready topics to educate students about the wide range of postsecondary options.
  • Plan, support, and/or organize future ready events, such as, but not limited to, field trips, FAFSA events, student and family workshops, college and career events to expose students and caregivers to post-secondary opportunities.
  • Provide professional development opportunities to campus and district staff on topics relating to future readiness to inform staff of changing student opportunities.
  • Collaborate with school counselors, teachers, principals, and external stakeholders including College Advising Corps, colleges, trade schools and local businesses to support students’ postsecondary goals.
  • Implement a communication plan in partnership with district and community stakeholders to promote student and caregiver participation in college and career opportunities and supports.
  • Maintain data correlating to essential job functions.
