About The Position

AIM Learning Center is hiring experienced college advisors to deliver advising packages purchased by families in San Antonio and Austin. AIM handles marketing, enrollment, and billing; advisors choose clients from a pool based on their expertise and availability, deliver the services included in each purchased package, and log their work in AIM’s advising platform. The role is remote, with in-person options in San Antonio and Austin. Advisors choose their caseload and are paid per package as independent contractors (1099). Advising may include a family kickoff to set goals, timelines, and package scope; college list building; essay coaching; application strategy and review; financial aid and scholarship guidance; course and activity planning for younger students on multi-year plans; and regular parent updates and session notes. The services delivered depend on what each family’s package includes. Advisors do not complete or submit FAFSA or CSS Profile forms for families. The workload is especially heavy from August through January, when most application work occurs and deadlines are fixed. Families expect prompt replies. Most sessions take place after school, in the evening, or on weekends. Advisors receive access to AIM’s advising platform, project management tools, and resource library.
