About The Position

AIM Learning Center is seeking experienced college advisors to deliver college advising packages purchased by families. AIM handles marketing, enrollment, and billing; advisors select clients from a pool based on their expertise and availability, deliver the services included in each client’s package, and log their work in AIM’s advising platform. The role is remote, with in-person options in San Antonio and Austin. Clients are families in those cities, and packages range from individual services to multi-year plans beginning early in high school. The work may include family kickoff meetings to establish goals, timelines, and package scope; college list development; essay coaching; application strategy and review; guidance on financial aid and scholarships; and course and activity planning for younger students on multi-year packages. Advisors provide regular parent updates and session notes. Services vary according to the package purchased. Advisors do not complete or submit FAFSA or CSS Profile forms for families. The workload is busiest from August through January, when most application work takes place and deadlines are fixed. Families expect timely responses. Most sessions take place after school, in the evening, or on weekends. The role is an independent contractor (1099) position paid per package; advisors choose their caseload. AIM provides access to its advising platform, project management tools, and resource library.
