About The Position

Royal Credit Union is looking for caring, energetic team members who want to create a positive impact in the lives of our Members. Become a Collections Representative at Royal Credit Union! In this role, you’ll support Members through challenging financial moments, negotiate meaningful solutions, and help protect the financial well-being of both our Members and the Credit Union – while delivering care, accountability, and professionalism in every interaction. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred to support our diverse member base.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Two years experience working in a financial or call center environment
Must be bondable
Strong interviewing, listening, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to negotiate repayment solutions while maintaining Member goodwill and accountability.
Ability to analyze complex financial information, credit reports, account documentation, and delinquency status to determine appropriate resolution actions.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, maintain accurate documentation, and perform effectively in a high-volume, metrics-driven environment.
Comfortable using personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and digital technologies to efficiently document interactions and navigate multiple software platforms.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while thriving in a collaborative team environment, managing frequent interruptions and changing priorities with attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree or the equivalent in experience in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics
Experience working with debt collection, default management, loss mitigation, charge-off recovery, repossession of real estate or equivalent
Experience working in a fast-paced, metrics driven environment
Spanish language proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain positive Member experiences throughout all aspects of the Collection process, while working to resolve delinquency and minimize losses to the Credit Union.
Be knowledgeable of any relief options that may be available to our members and be empathetic to each situation.
