About The Position

Northwest Respiratory Services is seeking a Collections Manager for its Eagan, Minnesota office. The role manages accounts receivable for private-pay accounts across all aging buckets and works assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily. The Collections Manager contacts patients and their families, responds to collection inquiries, identifies the responsible party and insurance, corrects invoices, and investigates and resolves billing discrepancies. The position uses Brightree software and involves working toward individual and departmental goals, participating in feedback sessions and staff meetings, and completing annual training or competency tests.

Requirements

1–2 years of collections experience.
Knowledge of medical insurance and terminology.
Strong written and verbal communication skills for contacting insurance carriers, facilities, patients, and others.

Collections experience in DME/HME or health care.

Responsibilities

Work assigned reports, dashboards, and aging queues daily.
Manage accounts receivable for private-pay accounts across current, 30-, 60-, and 90+-day aging buckets.
Make collection calls to patients and/or their families within 24 hours or another timely manner.
Respond to collection calls from patients and/or their families.
Identify the correct responsible party and insurance, and make corrections to invoices.
Work aged receivables.
Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies.
Meet individual and departmental goals.
Utilize Brightree software.
Participate in individual feedback sessions and staff meetings, and complete annual training and/or competency tests.
