About The Position

The Collections Manager oversees collection of payments on outstanding delinquent loans and supports departmental delinquency goals. The role manages a team of collection agents, monitors performance and collection trends, provides coaching and feedback, helps maintain accurate account records, and ensures adherence to company policies and procedures.

This is an office-based position involving prolonged sitting and computer work approximately 90% of the time. The employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, visualize, talk, hear, and handle or touch objects or controls, and may occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 20 pounds.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or commensurate work experience.
• 5 years of collections and/or customer service experience in increasingly elevated roles.
• 2 years of collection people-management experience.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Financial industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage, guide, support, and train a team of collections agents to meet performance metrics and follow company policies and procedures.
• Use Cresta and other performance monitoring tools to identify trends, evaluate call quality, support employee development, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review accounts to identify collection trends and dealer issues, and coordinate plans for resolution.
• Help complete month-end duties.
• Investigate, resolve, and respond to escalated issues.
• Partner with nearshore leadership to align training, performance expectations, collection strategies, and operational best practices for a consistent customer experience.
• Perform other duties, projects, and responsibilities as assigned.
