About The Position

The Office of Recovery Services is currently looking to fill a Collection Agent (Office Support) position within the Bureau of Medical Collections. This role involves handling incoming phone calls, processing payments, scanning documents, performing data entry, preparing mail, and initiating cases.

Requirements

  • Basic computer skills
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with general office equipment
  • Ability to organize tasks and follow instructions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Basic Excel knowledge
  • Experience working in an office setting.
  • Experience answering phone calls and emails.
  • Ability to work within a team and solve problems.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with an ability to assist people in a manner which shows sensitivity, tact and professionalism

Nice To Haves

  • Preference may be given to candidates with work experience in medical billing and proficiency working with spreadsheets.
