About The Position

While reporting to the Senior Vice President Consumer Credit Manager and working directly with the Collector, the Collection Administrative Assistant is accountable for the preparation and mailing of various collection letters, maintaining spreadsheets, and follow up with auto dealers on gap and warranty refunds and members on total loss claims.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Proven work experience in an administrative or clerical role, preferably within a collections or accounts receivable environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, especially Excel and Word.
Telephone and computer skills; Word and Excel knowledge a must.
Professional and clear verbal and written communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

Previous lending or collection experience helpful.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparing and sending collection correspondence, including reminders and statements to clients
Maintain and update collection records and databases to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Compose correspondence to members and vendors regarding account and claims status
Prepare and send appropriate attorney files for charged off accounts.
Support the preparation of reports on collection activities
Organize and file documentation related to collections for easy retrieval and audit purposes
Provide general administrative support to the collections department as needed.
