About The Position

The Associate, Asset Management is primarily responsible for gathering, analyzing, compiling and updating information found through skip tracing to locate and repossess a vehicle related to delinquent accounts out for repossession. In this role, employees will collaborate with our Loss Mitigation team to update potential vehicle location information with our venders while complying with internal policy and procedures. There may be limited customer contact to finalize arrangements. Position does require the ability to multitask and an advanced understanding of skip tools and collection techniques. All positions within the Operations Division are expected to collaborate cross divisionally to achieve a seamless customer experience; this includes supporting other departments as necessary to meet the business need.

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task and independently manage their time daily to ensure productivity and goals are met
  • Strong skip tracing skills - Ability to utilize various skip tracing tools (where applicable)
  • Basic computer skills - Knowledge of Windows including Word and Excel
  • Strong communication skills - Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas to peers and customers
  • Strong listening skills - Ability to listen and understand direction
  • 3+ years collection or relevant experience
  • Previous experience in a Collections role with heavy skip tracing responsibilities
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Education in lieu of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a consistent process to manage a queue of repo assigned accounts. Perform skip-tracing activities leveraging all applicable skip trace tools to locate customer information.
  • Locate and update vehicle location information with vender to facilitate arrangements to pick up collateral.
  • Review and validate accounts with missing/incorrect location information.
  • Properly document account information and input data in the appropriate systems.
  • Actively participate in coaching and development sessions/trainings to co-create solutions that enhance individual performance and overall department/team performance.
  • All other duties as assigned.
