Collaborative Pianist
About The Position
Downers Grove North is seeking a Collaborative Pianist to work closely with its choral music team. The position provides daily piano accompaniment and support during rehearsals for four curricular choirs, works with individual students and small groups, and provides piano accompaniment for special events. The role also supports music program administration, including organizing the music library, managing attendance and records, coordinating piano tuning and maintenance, and editing or creating parts as needed using music notation software. The position is based at North High School, runs 36 weeks per year, and is scheduled for 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. (7.5 hours per day). The approximate start date is January 4, 2027. Salary is $27.00–$29.00, depending on experience. A full benefits package is available. ISBE licensure is required; the posting lists PEL/ELS/PARA.
Requirements
- Strong piano skills.
- Experience with high school singers.
- Ability to lead rehearsals or small ensembles.
- ISBE licensure is required; the posting lists PEL/ELS/PARA.

- A degree in Piano Performance and/or Music Education is preferred.
