About The Position

Guidehouse is seeking a ColdFusion Developer to support and enhance mission-critical loan processing systems for a federal government client. The role supports a Federal Government Agency applications that enable financial reporting, data exchange, and operational workflows for secondary market and lending operations. The Guidehouse technology team delivers enterprise development, modernization, and production support services across a large, legacy application landscape.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree. Additional Four (4) years needed in lieu of degree.
  • 0 - 2 years of IT experience.
  • Experience developing applications using Adobe ColdFusion and CFML.
  • Experience supporting and maintaining legacy enterprise applications in a production environment.
  • Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
  • Familiarity with Linux/UNIX-based environments.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively on a team.
  • US Citizens and Green Card holders only.
  • No Visa Sponsorship available for this position.
  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "PUBLIC TRUST"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting U.S. Federal Government IT systems (civilian agency experience preferred).
  • Experience participating in application modernization efforts (e.g., ColdFusion to BoxLang or similar refactoring initiatives).
  • Experience building or consuming APIs for financial or data-centric systems
  • Experience with Python development in support of data processing or automation.
  • Exposure to PostgreSQL or Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with financial, loan origination, servicing, or reporting systems.
  • Prior experience supporting client systems or similar federal loan platforms.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE PUBLIC TRUST or SUITABILITY are preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance applications written in Adobe ColdFusion, including CFML-based web components, ensuring seamless integration with existing legacy codebases.
  • Support ongoing application modernization efforts, including converting ColdFusion applications to BoxLang and improving maintainability and performance.
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs to expose financial and operational data to internal and external consumers.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues across multiple applications in a federal production support environment.
  • Collaborate with architects and senior developers to translate technical requirements into sound design and implementation approaches.
  • Analyze, design, test, and document enhancements related to enterprise functionality, system integration, reporting, and security.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver incremental improvements.
  • Contribute to maintenance, enhancement, and sustainment activities for critical client loan systems.
