About The Position

This position is for a welder in the Coldform department. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of production techniques, great attention to detail, and a dedication to safety. Overtime is anticipated with this full-time, direct hire opportunity. The role requires the ability to read and comprehend various documents, communicate effectively, apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions, and solve problems involving multiple variables. The candidate must be able to work effectively to meet deadlines and collaborate with a diverse workforce, and be willing to cross-train and be promotable.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
A minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or comparable work environment
Comfort and familiarity with power hand tools
Ability to work effectively to meet deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
General mathematical knowledge and proficiency with basic measuring instruments
Must be at least 18 years of age to apply.

Nice To Haves

Experience with forklift and/or overhead crane operation
Willingness to train, certify, and operate forklift and overhead crane

Responsibilities

Perform welding duties in the Coldform department.
Read and comprehend policy manuals, safety rules/programs, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and simple correspondence.
Communicate information effectively one-on-one and in small group situations.
Apply common sense understanding to perform work instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Solve problems which involve multiple variables in a standard situation.
Work effectively to meet deadlines.
Work with a diversified work force.
Cross train and be promotable.
