About The Position

Anderson Erickson Dairy is a family-owned company with over 90 years of history, known for its commitment to local community, great products, great people, and high standards. This is a full-time, on-site manual labor role with varying shift hours, including potential overtime. The role involves working in a refrigerated environment with temperatures between 35-40 degrees Fahrenheit.

Requirements

Minimum age 18.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, lifting/physical capacity test, and a background check.
Ability to communicate in English (Verbal, Reading, Writing).
Must be able to work in a refrigerated work area with temperatures running 35-40 degrees.
Must be able to perform continual manual movement of empty and full cases and stacks, within the warehouse by using a hook.
Individual cases will weigh 48 lbs., with full stacks weighing up to 288 lbs.
Frequent lifting and lowering of cases to and from pick bays.
Ability to bend, squat, and twist the body regularly while moving products.

Nice To Haves

Experience with equipment operation, preferably in food manufacturing.
Experience working in a warehouse setting.
Understanding and adherence to quality control procedures.
Excellent communication skills to effectively work with team members.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve production line issues.
Good record-keeping skills to accurately document operations.
Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

Scanning and documenting all products coming into the cooler.
Picking product for various customers.
Manually loading picked product onto trailers for various customers.
Performing freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment (crane operation when certified).
Monitoring product for quality control and reporting any issues to supervisor.
Reporting any product/packaging issues.
Replacing any product that tips, spills, or is damaged during load out.
Assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Completing zone cleaning for assigned area.
Following all required work-safe practices, including wearing required PPE, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, and fall restraints.
Ensuring proper code date rotation.
Performing other duties as assigned.
