About The Position

They are willing to train individuals for outstanding opportunities in their production and distribution facilities in Des Moines, IA. The role is a full-time, on-site position with overnight shift hours from 9pm to 5:30am, and the possibility of working additional overtime.

Requirements

Minimum age 18.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, lifting/physical capacity test, and a background check.
Must have a Commercial Driver's License Class A (CDL-A) with Tanker Endorsement.
Fork Truck Certification required.
Must be able to understand and communicate in English (Verbal, Reading, Writing) fluently.

Nice To Haves

Experience with equipment operation, preferably in food manufacturing.
Experience with and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Scanning and documenting all products coming into the cooler.
Performing freight handling using appropriate motorized and manual equipment (crane operation when certified).
Loading products into trailers for delivery to various customers.
Picking of various customer products to be loaded into trailers.
Performing janitorial duties.
Moving trailers back and forth between both plant and cooler.
Monitoring product for quality control and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
Reporting any product/packaging issues.
Replacing any product that tips, spills, or is damaged during load out.
Assisting in identifying opportunities to improve processes using a continuous improvement mindset.
Performing housekeeping activities to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area.
Completing zone cleaning for the assigned area.
Following all required work-safe practices, including wearing required PPE, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, and fall restraints.
Ensuring proper code date rotation.
Performing all other duties as assigned within the job classification.
