About The Position

This role is responsible for contributing to the efficient production of steel products that meet customer specifications. The Coil Processing Specialist will load and unload material into and out of machines, perform in-process inspections, package finished goods, and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

  • Able to read and comprehend work orders, instructions, and safety and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to understand written and verbal communication in the English language.
  • Ability to use and interpret tape measurer and other measuring instruments as required.
  • Ability to drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane (company will train and certify).

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload material into and out of machines, including adjusting material as needed.
  • Contribute to the efficient production of steel products that meet customer specifications.
  • Perform in-process inspection of materials and maintain high quality output standards.
  • Package finished goods for customer delivery or floor stock, including palletizing and banding when requested.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow proper housekeeping practices.
  • Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and unsafe acts or conditions immediately.
