Coil Assembler

About The Position
Coil Assemblers assemble finished coils as required, working from drawings and specification sheets. This role involves picking up coils, attaching required end gear, and standing them with an up-ender. Coil Assemblers will also straighten spacers, cold press coils using a hydraulic press, load coils into ovens for a specified duration, hot press the coils, and then load them into the core oven when ready.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must be forklift certified
- Crane and hoist training
- Strong work ethic
- Working understanding of basic math
- Able to read tape measure
Responsibilities
- Keep inventory records of coil assembly supplies
- Check and move material in and out of the storage
- Stand coils, top coils, press coils, straighten spacers, and move coils
- Inspect all equipment
- Operate forklifts and cranes
