About The Position

Cogito Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing the team's active workstreams, new ticket submissions, and project priorities. Throughout the week, they prepare and distribute weekly and bi-weekly status reports (depending on the project or initiative prioritization) that provide leadership and stakeholders with visibility into project progress, upcoming milestones, risks, and resource needs. They then meet with business intelligence developers, analysts, and operational leaders to gather updates, validate timelines, and ensure projects remain aligned with organizational goals. During these discussions, the Project Manager helps clarify requirements, identifies dependencies, and addresses barriers that could impact delivery. Throughout the day, the Cogito Project Manager serves as a central point of coordination between stakeholders and the technical team. They lead project scoping discussions to define objectives, document requirements, and establish realistic expectations for new reports, dashboards, and analytics initiatives. When requirements are unclear or business priorities change, they work closely with stakeholders to refine project scope, resolve ambiguities, and develop actionable plans. By facilitating communication across teams, they ensure projects continue moving forward while minimizing delays and reducing rework. In addition to managing projects, the Cogito Project Manager plays a key role in maintaining and improving the team's Agile processes. They review incoming requests to ensure stories and tickets contain the necessary business context, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation before entering the backlog. They monitor sprint progress, track incoming and outgoing ticket volume, and provide regular report-outs on workload, throughput, and project health. By identifying process gaps and implementing continuous improvement opportunities, they help create a more efficient and transparent workflow, enabling the Cogito team to deliver high-quality analytics solutions that meet stakeholder needs.
