About The Position
Restaurant Associates, a leader in dining and event catering for prestigious institutions, is seeking a full-time Coffee Bar Supervisor. This role involves directing associate activities during a shift, ensuring job expectations are met, and upholding company policies and procedures. The supervisor will be responsible for training, scheduling, performance evaluation, and reporting to management. Requirements
- Previous barista experience is required.
- The use of a medium weight cut gloves when handling or using knives, peelers, choppers, mandolins or cleaning a slicer.
- The use of oven mitts, fryer gloves or steamer gloves when handling hot pans from ovens, warmers or steamtables.
- The use of slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques.

- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
- Provide training and create work schedules.
- Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
- Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure their unit meets the expectations for quality, productivity and safety.
- Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
- May act as a mentor, develop employees and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
