About The Position

The Coding Specialist Lead oversees and monitors performance, provides training and coordinator workflow for the assigned coding staff. Responsible for accurate and timely assignment and review of professional coding related to ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes for multi-specialty groups. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. UNLV Health does not provide employment sponsorships or sponsorship transfers for any positions.

Requirements

• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years Multi-Specialty Coding experience.
• 2 years Supervisory experience.
• 2 years EPIC experience.
• Payor contractual agreements/fee schedule knowledge.
• Intermediate oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment with frequent interruptions.
• Must be well organized and detail-oriented.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and time management skills.
• Type at least 45 WPM.
• 10-key proficient.
• Computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Requires manual dexterity to use computer, telephone and peripherals.
• Positive and professional attitude must be maintained at all times.
