We are searching for a talented Coding Educator. This position will be fully remote.

Requirements

Certified Professional Coding Certification or the equivalent is required.
Knowledge of all aspects of coding is required.
Strong understanding of coding guidelines, prospective payment systems, CMS rules, and OIG work plans is required.
Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
A minimum of 5 years progressive coding experience is required.
Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) and/or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) is required.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

Bachelors degree in business, healthcare, education, or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

Auditing of medical records to ensure documentation supports the level of service.
Auditing of medical records to ensure documentation reflects the requirements of Local and National Determination Coverages.
Ability to develop and implement educational programs.
Initiate overall documentation improvement strategies.
Orientation and auditing of newly on-boarded providers and programs.
Work independently, possess strong communication skills, demonstrate a systematic, organized approach to tasks, and convey a strict adherence to high standards and quality control.
