About The Position

The Coding Data Analyst will investigate coding and purchasing issues, interfacing with manufacturers, Manufacturing & Engineering (M&E), plant requestors, and the coding team. This role involves coordinating and leading meetings related to these investigations, supporting the TCS/IMPAC maintenance team on edge case scenarios, and assisting M&E spare parts coordinators and purchasing. The analyst will be responsible for solving complex or nonstandard scenarios, effectively communicating solutions to stakeholders, and independently handling escalations to customer and Ideal leadership. When resolution is not possible, the analyst must clearly articulate the issue and next steps.

Requirements

  • Comfortable working with large datasets in spreadsheets.
  • Working knowledge of core Excel functions (basic formulas, PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).
  • Ability to organize, validate, and reconcile data for analysis and reporting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lead working sessions or meetings and clearly articulate findings.
  • Proven ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across functions and projects.
  • Foundational understanding of Indirect Materials or spare parts.
  • Familiarity with plant, M&E, or purchasing processes.
  • Ability to translate business needs into data requirements and insights.
  • Experience or working knowledge of SAP and/or DCC environments.
  • Understanding of enterprise data structures and master data concepts.
  • Power BI experience (report creation, dashboards, basic modeling).
  • Ability to present data visually in a way that supports decision-making.
  • Analytical mindset.
  • Curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable investigating data anomalies.
  • Able to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities from complex datasets.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended durations.
  • Ability to view and use a computer screen (or multiple screens) for prolonged periods.
  • Bachelor's or associate’s degree in Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analysis role, preferably within manufacturing, maintenance, or supply chain environments.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, oral or written.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate directly with the GM Coding Team to investigate and resolve part identification and coding issues.
  • Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Databricks' native visualization tools, Power BI, or other business intelligence (BI) platforms, with direction from the GM Coding team.
  • Research and resolve spare part issues with maintenance, engineering, and procurement teams to facilitate accurate part set-ups.
  • Support digital transformation or system upgrades (e.g., SAP, Maximo, TCS/IMPAC) by obtaining and validating MRO data.
  • Assist with master data governance by ensuring part numbers, descriptions, units of measure, and classifications are consistent and accurate.
  • Identify opportunities for standardization and rationalization of parts across multiple sites or equipment platforms.
  • Provide insights to support coding strategies.
  • Present projects to customers and internal leadership.
  • Attend meetings as required.
