ARIA is a comprehensive Oncology Information System and electronic medical record that manages clinical, administrative, and financial workflows for radiation therapy, medical oncology, and haematology practices across the Tasmanian Health Service. Coding and Data Collection is performed in ARIA according to a THS agreed Scope and Minimum Dataset, by a specialist team of Clinical Coders (Cancer and Blood Services), led by the Health Information Manager, Clinical Coding (Data Governance and Oncology). The team sits within Health Information Management Services (HIMS) and is responsible for the collection, coding, validation, auditing and management of oncology data within the Oncology Information System (OIS). The team supports Cancer and Blood Services state-wide by ensuring is accurate, complete and reliable oncology information is available in ARIA for patient care, quality activities and research.
