Requirements

  • A well demonstrated ability to develop and deliver complex community infrastructure projects, particularly asset management and social and affordable housing, that require high level problem solving and stakeholder engagement, and achieve best practice client outcomes.
  • High level strategic, conceptual, analytical, and creative skills, including the ability to understand the political, social and organisational environment, and identify relevant issues, particularly as it relates to the social and affordable housing system.
  • High level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with the proven ability to represent Homes Tasmania and identify and negotiate mutually acceptable solutions in situations of differing interests.
  • Conviction checks in the following areas: crimes of violence, sex related offences, serious drug offences, crimes involving dishonesty, serious traffic offences (If Driver's License is an Essential Requirement).
  • Identification check.
  • Disciplinary action in previous employment check.

Nice To Haves

  • Tertiary qualifications related to the following disciplines: Project management; Construction management – residential and commercial; Land use planning – town and/or statutory; Architecture; and Auditing and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, plan and secure approval for asset management and community infrastructure projects to meet current and future demand for social and affordable housing.
  • Prepare policies, strategies and plans to support management of the Homes Tasmania property portfolio in accordance with the strategic asset management framework.
  • Provide specialist land use planning advice across Homes Tasmania, with specific reference to the Community Infrastructure business unit.
  • Develop contract specifications to procure specialist services external to government, manage associated procurement processes, manage contracted parties in terms of project delivery, ensure compliance with contract specifications, and undertake performance reporting.
