Coding Analyst - Regional Admissions

About The Position
Under the direction of the designated leader, the Coding Analyst provides coding insight and answers questions related to ICD and CPT codes in accordance with American Hospital Association (AHA) and Uniform Hospital Discharge Set (UHDDS) guidelines. The role abstracts clinical data and assists with regular analyses of patient records. The position is with Providence’s Covenant Health System.
Requirements
- Pass the department coding assessment test before the date of hire, with a score of 75% or above.
- Four years of CPT or ICD-9-CM acute care hospital coding experience.
Nice To Haves
- Completion of an AHIMA certified coding program.
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Health Information Management.
- Experience in other clinical or healthcare disciplines.
