About The Position
We are seeking a passionate and engaging Coding After School Instructor to lead our STEM and Coding programs for students in grades 2nd through 8th. This role involves teaching coding concepts and facilitating STEM activities during after-school hours. The program runs from Monday to Friday, with class times between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. The specific class dates are from July 6, 2026, to July 10, 2026. This position is based at our Charlotte, NC 28211 location.
Requirements
- Experience in teaching or instructing, preferably in STEM or coding.
- Ability to work with students in grades 2nd - 8th.
- Strong understanding of coding principles and STEM concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Ability to manage a classroom environment.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with specific coding languages or platforms relevant to K-12 education.
- Background in education or child development.
- Experience with curriculum development.
Responsibilities
- Instruct students in STEM and coding concepts.
- Facilitate engaging and educational activities for 2nd - 8th grade students.
- Manage classroom behavior and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans.
- Communicate with program coordinators regarding student progress and any issues.
