About The Position
The City of Woodstock is recruiting a Codes Inspector for the Building and Planning - Development Services Department. The position enforces compliance with applicable City codes, ordinances, rules, and regulations by responding to citizen complaints, investigating and documenting violations, and taking corrective action. The work is performed under the direction of the Building & Planning Director.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of Code Enforcement, Building Construction, or Plan Review experience.
- Work experience using a computer for word processing and data entry.
- Valid motor vehicle operator's license and an acceptable driving record for eligibility of City coverage.
- ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Certification is required within one year of the date of hire if not already held.
Nice To Haves
- Experience using departmental software, such as OpenGov.
- ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Certification.
