About The Position

The HIM Coder/Clerk is responsible for assembling, coding, abstracting and performing analysis on patient records. Assists in answering phone calls and requests for patient records.

Requirements

• High school education or GED required
• Vocational training or Coding Certification required
• Organization skills required
• Verbal skills required
• Customer relations skills required
• Ability to comprehend instructions required
• Computer typewriter skills required
• Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
• Ability to work with the public and coworkers
