About The Position
The Medical Record Coder is responsible for accurately coding inpatient, outpatient, and Emergency patient records, utilizing current coding methodologies. This position will be expected to cross-train to other positions within Health Information Management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- RHIA, RHIT, CPC, CCS, CCA from the American Health Information Management Association or American Academy of Professional Coders certification
Nice To Haves
- One year of coding experience in a hospital setting
Responsibilities
