About The Position

Experienced inpatient coder for a trauma level 1 acute care hospital. Must be experienced in coding multispecialty in for both medical and surgical cases. Specialties include but are not limited to: cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, orthopedic, neurosurgery, neurology, pulmonology, infectious disease, OB/GYN, pediatrics, neonatal, ENT, endocrinology, gastrointestinal, general medicine and general surgery. Must be experienced with Epic and 3M 360. Schedule for training is 1-2 weeks between 6am and 4:30p EST. Length to be approx. 3 months.

Requirements

• Experience in a Trauma level 1 Hospital.
• Experienced in coding multispecialties in for both medical and surgical cases.
• Experienced with Epic.
• Able to make training schedule of 1-2 weeks between 6am and 4:30pm EST.
• Able to pick up new workflows and technology easily.
• Able to ramp up productivity in 4 weeks.
• Maintain 95% accuracy in all coding.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Experience with 3M 360.
