About The Position
Professional outpatient coding for large GI practice; CPC or equivalent required. This role involves coding procedures from operative notes, posting hospital and physician charges, and posting recall information for future procedure dates. The coder will also be responsible for printing schedules and maintaining records for owned physicians across multiple endoscopy suites. Knowledge of Epic is a plus, as is a strong understanding of coding guidelines and payor/medical necessity requirements.
Requirements
- CPC or equivalent required

Responsibilities
- Coding procedures from op note
- Posting hospital charge
- Posting physician charge
- Posting recall (return/future procedure date)
- Printing schedule of and maintaining owned physicians across multiple endoscopy suites
