Requirements

  • Experience with Tig/Mig welding on aluminum and steel is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficient welder.
  • Ability to inspect trucks and trailers for DOT safety requirements.
  • Ability to compile inspection reports.
  • Ability to track parts and materials.
  • Ability to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Ability to maintain a safe and clean work area.

Responsibilities

  • Perform fabrication and welding on tanker trailers.
  • Weld using Tig/Mig on aluminum and steel.
  • Inspect the overall condition of trucks and trailers to ensure they meet U.S. Department of Transportation's safety requirements.
  • Compile inspection reports detailing findings.
  • Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure the final work product meets quality standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers.
