About The Position

Leidos’ Decision Advantage - Defense Business Area is seeking an experienced Code Development and Test Engineer to support the Department of the Air Force in fielding and operating its Digital Infrastructure. The position is based at Leidos’ Orlando, Florida office and requires daily onsite support. The engineer will support the Test team in the Digital Infrastructure Network Integration Lab (DI-NIL), which maintains the lab’s architecture and services. The environment includes RHEL and Windows systems and other appliances, with needs such as structure and compliance configurations, Active Directory authentication integration, and ongoing architecture management and review. Systems intended for the production network undergo verification and validation (V&V) testing in the DI-NIL, from build and configuration through service delivery. Working with the team, the engineer will develop code for provisioning and rapidly deploying the Systems Integration Lab (SIL) space and connected systems. The work ensures compliance with DoD guidance and helps configure system capabilities for optimal operating-system performance through automated test and validation scripts. The engineer must document code and process flows so tasks are documented and repeatable, work with customers to configure the environment and least-privilege access, and address in-depth discussions about code development and availability. The position also backs up other personnel supporting DI-NIL verification and validation for the Digital Infrastructure Network.
