About The Position

Cocktail Server – Monterrey Bar / Lido Bayside Position Summary The Cocktail Server supports service across Monterrey Bar and Lido Bayside, with primary focus at Monterrey Bar. This role delivers an elevated, energetic, and memorable guest experience through attentive service, strong product knowledge, and seamless execution. Whether working a high-energy evening at Monterrey or a sun-soaked shift at Lido, the Cocktail Server adapts to the environment while maintaining The Standard’s service style polished, playful, and effortlessly engaging.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience as a cocktail server or in a high-volume bar/restaurant preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beverage service (Standard signature drinks knowledge a plus).
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros preferred.
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt service style between indoor bar and outdoor dining environments.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Professional, confident, and guest-focused demeanor.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments with varying conditions.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive, engaging, and personalized service to all guests across both outlets.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Deliver drinks and food promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
  • Describe menu items, cocktails, wine, and specials with confidence and knowledge.
  • Open and present wine and bottled beverages according to service standards.
  • Anticipate guest needs and ensure a seamless, enjoyable experience throughout service.
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate when appropriate.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned service areas at all times.
  • Ensure wait stations are properly set and stocked according to SOPs.
  • Complete all opening, running, and closing side work thoroughly.
  • Enter all orders accurately into the POS system (Micros or similar).
  • Handle all forms of payment accurately and responsibly.
  • Review daily menus, specials, and 86 lists prior to service.
  • Follow all service sequences and house standards consistently.
  • Work closely with bartenders, runners, and kitchen staff to ensure proper timing of service.
  • Communicate clearly with team members regarding guest needs and order status.
  • Support both Monterrey Bar and Lido Bayside teams as needed based on business demands.
  • Maintain high standards of personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform presentation.
  • Follow all sanitation, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
  • Uphold The Standard’s policies, procedures, and service expectations.
  • Identify and report any operational or guest-related issues to management.
