Why This Role Matters As a Host at Baby Dolls House of Blues & Jazz, you are the first and last impression of the guest experience. You set the tone for the entire visit by welcoming guests with energy, warmth, and confidence while managing the flow of the room in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Your presence helps create a seamless and memorable experience where every guest feels valued from the moment they arrive. What You'll Do Welcome guests with a warm, confident, and engaging presence that reflects the energy of the venue. Manage reservations, seating, and waitlists while maintaining smooth guest flow throughout the space. Coordinate with servers, bartenders, and leadership to ensure efficient service and table turnover. Provide accurate wait times and assist guests with questions about seating and the overall experience. Maintain an organized and polished host stand and entrance area at all times. Support the flow of guests during live music and peak hours to enhance the overall atmosphere. Handle guest concerns with professionalism and escalate when needed. Contribute to a team-focused environment that prioritizes exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

Previous host, restaurant, lounge, nightclub, or customer service experience preferred.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy nightlife environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional appearance and a polished, confident presence.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts.
Team-oriented mindset with a passion for hospitality and guest experience.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Ability to remain composed and professional while managing guest flow during peak business periods.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and work in a loud, energetic environment.
