About The Position

Responsible for providing exemplary guest service by taking and delivering beverage orders. This role involves serving guests, managing beverage stations, operating a POS system, and ensuring compliance with alcohol service regulations. The Cocktail Server plays a key part in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of their designated service area and contributing to the overall guest experience at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally.
  • Ability to take care of the guests’ needs while following company procedures.
  • Ability to get along well with a variety of personalities and individuals.
  • Knowledge of regulations governing food preparation and service.
  • Knowledge of alcoholic beverages.
  • Basic math skills.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • One year of experience as a server preferred.
  • Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Providing exemplary guest service to all CWCR guests.
  • Taking guest alcohol and non-alcohol orders, calculating accurate cost totals, collecting payment, counting back correct change, and delivering drinks.
  • Monitoring beverage stations, ensuring cleanliness and adequate supplies.
  • Carrying a full tray of drinks to assure expedient service.
  • Working designated areas of responsibility to assure proper customer service.
  • Serving wine and bottled or draft beer.
  • Serving snacks or food items to customers.
  • Operating Point of Sales (POS) system and collecting money for drinks served.
  • Checking identification of customers to verify age requirement for purchase of alcohol.
  • Performing all opening, closing, cleaning, and stocking responsibilities at the end of the shift.
  • Adhering to all OLCC and Chinook Winds Casino Resort policies and procedures regarding alcohol service.
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness and appearance of designated area of responsibility.
  • Assisting other floor personnel on an as needed basis, including bartending.
  • Performing all duties in accordance with Chinook Winds Casino Resort guest service standards.
  • Maintaining general knowledge and providing information to guests of Chinook Winds Casino Resort events, programs, and services.
  • Providing input or recommendations for improvements and changes in processes or services.
  • Performing all other duties as assigned.
