About The Position

As a COBRA Client Accounts Specialist, you will support the successful implementation and ongoing management of client accounts, helping ensure a seamless experience for clients, brokers, and internal partners. In this role, you will coordinate across teams, manage key account processes, and contribute to accurate, timely service delivery that supports compliance and client satisfaction. Your attention to detail, organization, and communication skills will play a critical role in driving operational excellence.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in customer service, account support, or healthcare/benefits administration.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with COBRA administration or employee benefits.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations, including COBRA and HIPAA.
  • Experience working with client implementation or account lifecycle processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate new account implementations by gathering required documentation, supporting client setup, and ensuring accurate system entry.
  • Partner with clients, brokers, and internal teams to answer questions, provide guidance, and ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Support preparation and review of COBRA administration proposals and required documentation.
  • Maintain and track account lifecycle activities, including implementations, renewals, and terminations.
  • Ensure accurate storage and documentation of client agreements, implementation materials, and termination records.
  • Assist with account updates and terminations in internal systems and coordinate with accounting or other teams as needed.
  • Monitor timelines and proactively follow up on outstanding items to ensure timely completion of account processes.
  • Collaborate across departments to resolve issues and maintain strong, service-focused relationships.
  • Contribute to process improvements and support special projects as assigned.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
