About The Position

We’re seeking a COBRA and Direct Billing Specialist who will contribute to delivering proactive service, strategic guidance, and an exceptional client experience. Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in COBRA benefits administration, billing, customer service, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately process transactions
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with COBRA, retiree, or direct billing processes
  • Familiarity with WEX or similar COBRA administration platforms

Responsibilities

  • Respond to participant and client inquiries related to COBRA, retiree, and direct billing coverage
  • Provide clear, professional guidance on eligibility, enrollment, and billing questions
  • Deliver empathetic and timely customer service to support positive participant experiences
  • Process COBRA, retiree, and direct billing transactions including enrollments, terminations, premium payments, and adjustments
  • Maintain accurate participant records within COBRA and billing platforms
  • Support compliance with federal and state COBRA and billing regulations by following established processes
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service workflows
  • Support the COBRA & Billing team with administrative and operational tasks as needed
  • Participate in training and professional development to expand technical knowledge and service capabilities
